A/W13 - Gemstones

Autumn is lurking and leaves begin to change colour so it's time my outfits do too.

One word : Gemstones ! An outfit based on these vibrant colours will definitely score.

Green is said to the shade of the season, but the colours burgundy, navy blue, pastels, black, grey and white are always right. The prints are young yet classic this season. Think plaid, Scottish tartan and houndstooth but also a little Bambi and even leopard print. It’s not going to make you look cheap this time. Just add some leather to your outfit and you’re ready to shine!

You might think that these colours make every style possible -and you’re right! The military look, the grunge look, la Garçonne and even the elegant classic chique are possible. All you have to do now is finish up with some exotic furs, studs, pearls or (for the daredevils among us) some over-the-knee boots.

I hope this short summary inspires you when dressing up this season. Remember though, do not to just copy a runway model. Make it personal. Always give your outfit that little touch that makes it you and always ; have fun!

NL- De herfst is in aantocht en de blaadjes beginnen van kleur te veranderen, tijd dus dat ook mijn outfits zich aanpassen.

Eén woord : Edelstenen ! Een outfit gebaseerd op deze levendige kleuren zullen gegarandeerd scoren.

Volgens de fashion wereld is groen dé kleur van het seizoen, maar ook bordeaux, marine blauw, pastel kleuren, zwart, grijs en wit zijn hot! De prints zijn jong maar klassiek deze winter. Denk dan vooral aan plaid, Schotse tartan en pied-de-poule, maar ook een Bambi en zelfs luipaard print zullen je outfit deze keer niet goedkoop doen lijken. Gewoon nog wat leder toevoegen en je bent klaar om te schitteren.

Je zou bijna denken dat met deze trends elke look mogelijk is –en je hebt gelijk! De militaire look, de grunge look, la Garçonne maar ook het elegante “classic chique” is mogelijk. Afwerken doe je met exotische pelsjes, studs, parels of voor de durvers onder ons enkele over-the-knee laarzen.

Ik hoop dat deze kleine opsomming jullie inspireert bij het samenstellen van je outfit. Maar het onthoud, niet kopiëren maar creëren. Maak je outfit persoonlijk en geeft hem steeds die kleine touch die hem zó jij maakt ; en vooral have fun !
