‘Mancakes’

My boyfriend loves a good cake, but apparently he doesn't get the cupcake craze. He just wants his cake in a normal color, the rectangular size and decorated with ‘edible’ ingredients. But for our 5th anniversary I thought it was a bit boring to just bake a traditional cake, so I decided to make him some ‘mancakes’ with a touch of girly love !

The result?  These cute pink heart-shaped cinnamon apple cakes.

Recipe (±20pieces)
▪ 166 gr        flower
▪ 166 gr        butter
▪ 200 gr        sugar
▪ 2               eggs
▪ 1 sachet      vanilla sugar
▪ 1 apple       cut into little pieces
▪ Cinnamon powder (as much as you like)

How? Mix the butter along with the sugar and the eggs. Add the flower and the cinnamon powder. Then pour the batter into your (heart-shaped) molds and add some of the apple pieces. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 20 minutes and enjoy !

What’s your favorite kind of cake?

Love, KPW.
